SINAMICS BRAKING RESISTOR INPUT: 1035 V DC OUTPUT: 125 KW/15 S 9,8 OHM Braking resistor SINAMICS braking resistor for the Chassis format of the SINAMICS S120 converter system. The excess energy of the DC link is dissipated via the braking resistor. The braking resistor is connected to a Braking Module. By positioning the braking resistor outside the cabinet or outside the switchgear room, the heat loss produced can be dissipated. This reduces the level of air conditioning required. For devices in Chassis format, two braking resistors with different rated and peak powers are available. The braking resistor is monitored based on the duty cycle. A temperature switch (NC contact) is also installed, which responds when the permissible temperature is exceeded and can be evaluated via a control system. The braking resistor is available for three-phase line voltages ranging from 380 V to 480 V and for DC link voltages ranging from 510 V to 720 V. SINAMICS – simply my drive!
